Humor is making its comeback to Isla Vista this Saturday night as I.V. Standup returns to Embarcadero Hall with a double headliner.

The weekly comedy show, now in its second year, is making its seasonal debut this Saturday at 8 p.m. with comedians Josh Wolf and Joey Diaz.

The event, which will occupy this timeslot every week, will include weekly headliners with credentials such as writing or performing for Comedy Central, HBO, NBC and other networks.

I.V. Standup co-producer Andrey Belikov said he is excited for the new season to start.

“It’s a blast,” Belikov said. “That’s all I can say, you know? We’ve never had a bad show yet.”

Headliner Wolf was featured on the fourth season of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” as well as multiple one-man shows. In addition, Wolf has written for the television shows “Yes, Dear” and “All of Us.”

Diaz is most recognizable for his role in the recent comedy “The Longest Yard,” but has appeared in many other movies and television shows, as well as numerous standup appearances.

The event also features one or two opening acts by UCSB students each week. Any students interested should contact Belikov or his co-producer Alfonso Ochoa after the show.

Tickets are $5 dollars for students and $15 dollars for the general public.
