After months of investigation, narcotics detectives from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Dept. arrested three Goleta residents and a slew of Santa Barbarans last week for allegedly possessing a combined $20,000 worth of methamphetamines and cocaine.

After a three-month investigation, detectives arrested 35-year-old K.C. Goodwin and 21-year-old Lauren Lammers on Tuesday, May 22, for allegedly possessing approximately six ounces of methamphetamines – with a street value of approximately $16,800 – in their apartment on the 3300 block of Richland Drive in Goleta, Sheriff’s Dept. Spokesman Sgt. Erik Raney said. Detectives found $2,500 in cash, drug paraphernalia and stolen property, Raney said.

Goodwin, a parolee at large, was booked at Santa Barbara County Jail without bail and Lammers was booked with bail set at $30,000.

On Wednesday, May 23, detectives ended a separate two-month long investigation into the dealings of Adriel Arias, arresting the alleged narcotics dealer at his home on 4200 block of Calle Real in Goleta, Raney said. In the 21-year-old’s home, detectives found one ounce of cocaine, valued at approximately $2,800, paraphernalia and $4,300 in cash. Arias was booked in county jail for possession of narcotics with intent to sell, with bail set at $30,000.

Raney said with the help of the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Dept. gang unit, narcotics detectives conducted numerous searches of the homes of suspected drug dealers throughout the county last week. In a press release, Raney stated that although the week was busy, it was not unusual.

Adding to the arrest count, on last Thursday, detectives detained six more individuals for alleged narcotics-related charges in the city of Santa Barbara, Raney said. In the process officers seized a quarter of an ounce of methamphetamines, two grams of cocaine and $800 in suspected drug money. Raney said the six suspects’ ages ranged from 21 to 49 and that they were arrested after detectives obtained a search warrant to enter their home on the 1500 block of San Roque Drive in Santa Barbara.
