Gov. Schwarzenegger won the gubernatorial race with a campaign focused on cleaning up Sacramento. Apparently Gov. Schwarzenegger believes that piles and piles of money and piles and piles of bills for the interest would contribute to his sparkly clean capital city. But he did sweep out all the interest-free government revenue the car tax would have raised.

Schwarzenegger criticizes overspending by Cal-ee-forn-ee-ah’s government and jumps to an excellent start by asking for a quick $15 billion so he can pay off debts, $4 billion of which is just to deal with the budget he got stuck with. Faced with tough times and tough decisions, our valiant action-hero governor bravely decides to stick the problem to future politicians; hopefully real politicians – which, as Schwarzenegger frequently reminded us during the elections, he is not.
